Open Enrollment

2026-2027 Open Enrollment Begins Dec 1!

Families are encouraged to apply early and applications are approved on an ongoing basis. While most schools in the District will have space for open enrollment students, some grade levels or campuses will have closed enrollment because of growing student populations.

Complete the 2026-27 Open Enrollment Application

Open Enrollment is for:

• Non-MUSD students who wish to attend an MUSD school where they do NOT live in the school’s attendance boundaries
   
• MUSD students who wish to attend a school outside of their attendance boundaries must apply for open-enrollment the first year. A student who attends a District school through open enrollment does not have to re-enroll (complete an open enrollment application) for the subsequent school year, as long as they remain at the same school.

The District will give preference to all students in Group A before enrolling students from Group B.

• Group A - applications received by Jan. 15, 2026: Applications received between December 1 and January 15 will be placed in Group A and will receive first review. The District will notify members of Group A in writing by February 15, 2026 as to whether the applicant has been accepted, or placed on a waiting list pending the availability of capacity.
   
• Group B - applications received on or after Jan. 16, 2026: Students who apply January 16 or later will be placed in Group B. Members of Group B will be notified of admission decisions on a rolling basis.

Marana Vista Academy:  Additional Application Information

Non-MUSD students must complete the open enrollment application.

All applicants must complete the Marana Vista Academy Application.

Complete the 2025-2026 Open Enrollment Application

• Applications received after December 15, 2024 will be continuously reviewed. Families can expect a response for these applications within approximately three business weeks from submitting their application, whichever is later.
